Philip said: I disagree with your recommendation to use RAID 0 for the boot disk RAID 1 offers increased read performance assuming the RAID controller onboard the Icy Dock provides Write performance is slower but a boot disk should not be performing too many writes except during software install Thus the advantage is increased capacity at the expense of well losing it all The author should provide the reader with performance statistics of both to judge which RAID is best
