Security software
PeerBlock review
By Ian Harac | PC Advisor | Published: 10:30, 06 November 2009
How much use PeerBlock is to you depends on your security needs and your level of paranoia, justified or otherwise. It is a useful first line of defence against sharing information with people you don't want to share information with, but it's not absolute, and the size and scope of the lists could cause some surprises or odd behaviour, especially if you forget that it's running. We would consider it generally worth trying, if only for the experience of seeing just how many sites are trying to talk to your computer during an average browsing session.
